Free Fitness Instruction

When people first visit Spunk Fitness, they have varying levels of experience with and knowledge about fitness. Most have absolutely no idea what they should be doing or how often they should be doing it. No matter what level of experience or knowledge you have, we’ll make sure that you’re fully comfortable with your exercise program.

Every member at our fitness centers receives free fitness instruction. We understand that you may need at least some level of assistance with your exercise program, and we’ll make sure you know exactly what to do, how often to do it, and how to use the various pieces of exercise equipment we have in our facilities. We want you to be 100% comfortable in knowing that you are doing the right exercises using the correct equipment and proper technique in order to get the results you want!

We accomplish this by first scheduling a time for you to meet one on one with a certified personal trainer so that we can learn about you and your fitness goals. You’ll also get a complimentary one on one personal training session!

Also included in all Spunk Fitness memberships is Spunk Academy, group fitness classes conducted by certified personal trainers. As a Spunk Fitness member, you can sign up for any of the Spunk Academy fitness classes as often as you want, all free of charge.

Description of Spunk Academy Classes

Spunk 101
In this course we offer the greatest gift a person can receive-knowledge. We’ll explain how you can get the most out of Spunk Academy. After learning about your past workout history, fitness goals, and any medical limitations, we’ll design an appropriate program tailored just for you.

Cardio
We will explain how to use all of the cardiovascular equipment and our CardioTheater entertainment system. We’ll also demonstrate of each piece of equipment and have the class participants try it out in order to demonstrate their new-found knowledge.

Waist Up
Waist Up is the Spunk Academy class devoted to working the muscle groups of the upper body. You’ll learn how to properly use the exercise equipment designed to work the upper body. You will also have the opportunity to use each piece of equipment and demonstrate that you now know how to use it!

Waist Down
Waist Down is the Spunk Academy class devoted to working the muscle groups of the lower body. You’ll learn how to properly use the exercise equipment designed to work the lower body. You will also have the opportunity to use each piece of equipment and demonstrate that you now know how to use it!

Spunky Stretched & Center
You’ll learn the importance of, and how to improve your flexibility, including stretches for each muscle group. You’ll also learn the importance of having strong abdominals and a strong lower back, what we refer to as your “core”. You’ll learn exercises you can do to strengthen your core.

SpunkFit 30
The SpunkFit 30 is a full-body “circuit training” workout that provides both muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. During this session you will learn how to use all of the equipment in the SpunkFit30 area and how to properly move from station to station in order to get the most out of your exercise session.

1-On-1 Personal Training

Of course, if you would like to work one on one with a certified personal trainer for additional sessions other than the complimentary session, you may do so for an additional fee. Personal training is available at Spunk Fitness through our affiliate, Triumph Group. There is a variety of personal training packages available to fit your needs and budget.
